Alberta is Adding Jobs and So Are We!

Just prior to the May Long Weekend, Alberta’s Premier announced “the largest jobs training program in the province’s history” titled the Alberta Jobs Now program. This injection of $370 million (the cost split evenly between the provincial and federal governments) is perfectly timed as vaccinations are on the rise, with now over 50% of eligible Albertans having received at least one dose.
Premier Kenney’s faith in entrepreneurs is not misplaced; according to Stats Canada, as of December 2019, small businesses make up 98% of the employer businesses in Alberta. Reports of restrictions having temporary, and in some cases permanent, impacts on small businesses across the province (and elsewhere) are well documented.
This announcement comes as good news to many, employers and employees alike. For the myriad of local Alberta energy retailers, this could not come at a better time.
As a local company, we believe in Alberta. Unlike some of the utilities in Alberta that have outsourced and shipped jobs out of the country, we are continuing to invest in our local company. Under this new Alberta initiative, we are seeking talented individuals to help us continue to grow.
If you are a recent graduate, unemployed due to COVID-19, or simply working part-time due to cutbacks in the economy, we encourage you to look at our job postings and apply with a local business that is committed to supporting the Alberta economy.

Join Us!
As we prepare for the end of this pandemic, we are hiring for expansion. Looking at the last 14 months, we didn’t cut back and we didn’t ship jobs out of the country to save a buck. Everyone in our company was fully employed. While others were scaling back, we started a new Internet division to compete with big ISPs. Under the banner of Q Wave, we provide cable, DSL, and portable WiFi solutions to Albertans across the province.
With the importance of finding environmentally-friendly solutions to help reduce our carbon footprint, we created the Solar Club. And, to expand our retail services around the province, we helped communities open up energy retail storefronts like Ridge Utilities in the Village of Stirling.
Join our team. We are part of Alberta’s bright future!
